HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK YOU?
Weddings are booked on a first come, first serve basis. I've received inquires anywhere from 2 months before a wedding to a full year in advance. Portraits are usually booked 3-6 weeks before the intended shoot. To check for my availability, please fill out the contact me form. If I'm available, I would love to talk to you about it.
WHEN DO WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
I know how difficult it is waiting on your photos, and I do my very best to get they to you as quickly as possible. It typically takes 6-10 weeks from the wedding date to deliver a gallery. Photos from portrait sessions are normally delivered within 3-4 weeks. I do spend a fair amount of time in post production to make you pictures the best they can be.
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR BOOKING?
To reserve a date, I simply require a retainer payment and signed contract. Wedding Collections can also be upgraded to include additional coverage or products at any point after the date is reserved.
DO YOU PROVIDE "RAW" FILES?
I do not provide raw files because even with professional equipment the files may need adjustments to make them as beautiful as they can be. In certain situations I actually shoot for the edit, meaning I will shoot a scene a certain way (typically under exposed) simply to retain as much information in an image as I can and then adjustment are made to make the image presentable. Other times and image may be perfect straight out of camera. It really varies, and I want to give you the best images possible. Clients get high resolution JPEGS with Printing Rights.
Do you travel?
I love to travel and the rates are the same for destination weddings as they are for normal wedding packages, but they do include minimal travel costs.
Do you offer anything for elopments?
I do! I offer special pricing for elopements in the San Diego area taking place between Monday and Friday. Please complete the contact form to inquire of the pricing.
WHAT RIGHTS DO I GET for the photos?
You receive the PRINTING RIGHTS for the artwork. This allows you to take the files and print them at home or with the vendor of your choice. I, as the photographer, have the COPY RIGHTS to the artwork, and this allows me to use the images on my portfolio, blog, publications, etc.
WHAT IS A "FIRST LOOK"?
Traditionally the Bride and Groom don't see each other for the first time on a wedding day until the bride is walking down the isle. A "First Look", simply speaking, it is a time where the bride and groom see each other before a wedding ceremony. It can be as casual or as formal as you can imagine, and it is usually an opportunity to take a couple bridal portraits in an intimate setting before the ceremony.
DO YOU OFFER WEDDING ALBUMS?
I do, but it is an a la carte item done at a clients request and can be added to an existing wedding package or created at a later time. Sales tax is required to be added to these items as they are a tangible item.
